Life is like a pair of shoes!

When you go shoe shopping and see that magical pair that could change your life, you buy them, right?

But what happens when they don’t fit? Or if they kill your feet?

Do you keep wearing them?

If so, then you would be someone who enjoys the cycle of hardship and pain….

If you are someone who quickly takes the shoe off and finds a more comfortable pair, then bravo my little warrior.

My suggestion: If the shoe fits wear it… if not take it off! Life is that simple.

You know how frustrating it is when things don’t move at the speed you expect them to? Especially when your dealing with other people. That’s the problem with pushing. When we push we are always met with resistance, every single time. You would think after a while we would be smart enough to recognize the trend, but some how our ego just tells us to keep trying until we get the result “we” want. In the end we find that usually our pushing didn’t solve the problem, it only caused us to expel a ton of energy that could have been used to in a much more productive way. So you can write the letter, stick a stamp on it, and shove it into the mail box with great force, but it doesn’t mean that darn postal driver will get it delivered any faster!

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. What leads us in relationships?

You know the difficult part about life and relationships is that we are always looking for an external force to fill the internal need. When what is really required for happiness is filling yourself… finding you! You will never be happy if you are always looking out side yourself for happiness. When we constantly look for reasons to justify a relationship ending it is because we are unable to deal with the fact that something about us is broken and needs to be fixed… rather we look for validation that we meant something to that person or that they suffer without us. I said to my husband last night, ” life and relationships are ego based because we are in constant need for others to validate our existence, to validate that we are here, alive, and valuable.” You have to fix you first… then you can attract the right type of person into your life.
